This isn’t new. If you look at very old video footage of CALCM missiles in formation right after the B-52 dropped them, they fly in a loose formation and deconflict with each other, maintaining separation from each other in all 3 planes (x,y,z). It isn’t a leap of technology to make one play “wing-man” to a manned fighter.
